Granny Smith Oil Painting by Jean Gauld-Jaeger(Size-16 x 20)Jean received training in Decorative Art in Pittsburgh,PA. She displayed her Decorative Art pieces at shows in the Chicago, IL area from 1963-1969. She conducted Decorative Art classes in Chicago during those years & continued teaching Decorative Art in Birmingham, AL to 1978. Jean began studying fine art with respected portrait artist Michael Shane Neal in 1998. Jean has also studied with Roger Brown, Paula Frizbe, Jeanne MacKenzie, Jason Saunders, Sergei Shillabeer, Joseph Sulkowski, Jody Thompson, & Dawn Whitelaw. Jean is a member of The Portrait Society of America, Nashville Artists Guild, Tennessee Art League, & is the President of The Chestnut Group of plein air painters. She is the recipient of several awards for portraits & landscapes. Jean’s paintings are displayed at: The TN. Art League; Retreat at Brentwood, Chestnut Hill Gallery, CJ’s Off The Square,& more.
