Boehm Flowers - illustrated is a part that was molded with pink dental product to copy for a new petal. The helping hands magnifying tweezer stand helps hold the new part to be airbrushed and hand painted to match the design detail of other petals. The parts are carefully rebonded to the floral Boehm piece. Tiny delicate parts such as those of Boehm require special products and techniques to achieve the demanding perfection of the pieces. They are extremely delicate and finely detailed. Only a highly experienced restoration artist should consider the challenge to restore most Boehm pieces. They can easily be damaged if cleaned, bonded or painted incorrectly and most are very high in value. |
