NIPPON MORIAGE PRETZEL VASE - These (4) Photos are to illustrate BEFORE/processing/FINAL AFTER of Nippon Moriage Pretzel vase in need of a new top fluted neck area. This vase does not have the missing top side and so a copy of the other area is needed. Because the Moriage Design is so intricate, piped and beaded, the molding must be carefully applied as shown in the photo with blue dental molding. The mold is then lined-up to fit in the missing space. It is a practiced technique to then "pour" a dental porcelain material in to the one-sided blue mold as it cures and adheres to the body of the vase. This new part is then sanded, filled, adjusted if needed to be a exacting duplication of the other side. It is good to use a strong, slightly translucent material as the new part for close match to the original body of the piece. Other photos illustrate the airburshing and handpainting for the FINAL look with all details matching the other side. For more info just email us at: tindellsrestoration@gmail.com |
