STUEBEN ELEPHANT - This is a grouping of (4) photos to illustrate the Before/Processes/FINAL After of a Stueben Elephant that needs a crystal tail. It was broken off and lost. Since there isn't another elephant to copy it's tail, we must produce a "proto-type" with a putty type material that can be hand shaped, carved, sanded and detailed as needed. This object then becomes a tail that can be copied. A dental blue molding material is then placed over the "proto-type" to form a mold copy. Then the mold is filled with a crystal clear pourable casting product and allowed to cure. This material is then released from the mold and compared to area in need for the elephant. If this looks good, it is then time to create the part again for the elephant. The blue mold is filled again with the clear casting material and then held in to place at the point the part is needed. The casting material cures and adheres to the elephant. For more information email:

According to DiAnna Tindell there is no joy greater than returning an object that has been chipped, cracked or broken to its original shape and beauty. "There's nothing to match the appreciation in the owner's eyes when they first see it," said Tindell. {more}
